We have decided upon the best dates to run this year’s John Hall Venice course. The London week will be from Monday 31st May to Friday 4th June, and we will then travel to Venice from Sunday 6th June until Saturday 16th July
Our optional weeks in Florence and Rome run from July 17th to Saturday 24th in Florence and then leaving Rome on Friday July 30th.
We are confident that a combination of the vaccine rollout in Europe and the warm weather, which will suppress what remains of the virus, will mean that the course will be able to run smoothly.
Of course, life in Venice will be very different. We are staying in a new hotel this year. The rooms are all air-conditioned and there’s a lovely outside space in which we can sit and socialise. We will be having dinner in a local, family-run restaurant in Campo Santa Margherita, five minutes walk away from the hotel. The Architecture Biennale will be on, which is a fantastic exhibition of Contemporary Architectural projects in Venice’s famous ‘Giardini’, the Contemporary Art galleries of Francois Pinault and Miucia Prada will be open, and when students do not have classes they can go swimming at The Lido.
Our lecturers are confirmed, and we are delighted to include some exciting new additions this year to enhance our already excellent faculty. The hotels and visits are all booked, and now all that we require is for you to confirm that you can make it. We will be sending out invoices in due course, and we will be sending you all the information you’ll need.
For US students and others who need to get home early, these dates should work for you. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything that you would like to ask.
